Adventure (2.5-3.5 year olds)

Our adventure classroom serves children approximately 3 years old . We have a 1:8 ratio with a max of 16 children per day.  This is typically where potty training is a main priority throughout their day and we focus on getting children ready to move up to our older preschool classrooms.

This age group uses parallel play as they play alongside their friends and then transition into associative play towards the end of their time in this class. This shift from playing next to your friends versus with your friends takes mastery in a variety of skills. We focus much of our time on awareness on how we are feeling and how others are feeling too. This social emotional foundation sets the tone for the collaborative play of their older peers. On a daily basis we use our play to work on letter and number mastery, sensory exploration, fine motor skills, imaginary play, outside large motor, long term project work, and creative expression through art.

Miss Iran

My name is Iran Reyes and I have 5 years of experience in early childhood education. Plus, I have a younger brother whom I have taken care of since birth.

My thoughts behind childhood are that is needs to be cherished and loved because we all one have ONE childhood. We, as adults need to give the best for those short years of cherished moments and experiences.

A little bit about myself: I am from Mexico and have lived here for about 9 years now. I came to the country without speaking any English and had to learn it from scratch. My favorite foods are sushi and Mexican food. I love to drink tea and draw in my free time. My most precious things in life are my family.

Miss Maddie

Maddie started her Bella Mente journey when she was 2 years old. She began working part-time when she was 14 and now that she has graduated she is working full time with her mom Miss. Danielle. Working with kids is something she has always wanted to do. She loves making them laugh, playing with them and watching them grow up. Outside of work she coaches her sister’s soccer team with her dad, enjoys reading, art and watching sports. We are excited to have her part of our team full time, and it has been a joy to have had her part of our school for so long.
